Kirby Plessala, MD
Kirby Plessala, M.D., is a board-certified practicing obstetrician and gynecologist with over 35 years of clinical experience. Dr. Plessala was born and raised in Morgan City, Louisiana, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He continued his medical training, completing his obstetrics and gynecology internship and residency with the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine.
Since beginning practice in Mobile in 1994, he has been committed to providing women’s healthcare to the greater Mobile area. He has used his foundation of faith and family to guide his practice. He is a member of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, which reflects his respect for the dignity of all life. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Plessala specializes in hormone replacement therapy and is the only practitioner in Mobile certified by the Bio-Identical Hormonal Therapy Academy. He is a Menopause Society-certified practitioner and is a certified hormone pellet provider with Biote and Evexias Health Solutions.
Other memberships include the American Medical Association (AMA), the Alabama Medical Association, the Menopause Association, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the American Society for Reproductive Immunology, and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
